This 50-acre vineyard was planted in 1995 by friends and growers Gary Franscioni and Gary Pisoni along the terraces of the Santa Lucia mountain range, overlooking the Salinas River Valley. With plenty of lovely, rich tannins, this Pinot offers up flavors of dark red fruit, subtle oak, nutmeg-clove spice. Aged for 14 months in French Oak.
“Miner’s version from the Santa Lucia Highlands musters a persistent complement of clean fruit with deft, herbal accents to its mildly strawberry-like fruit. It is slender without being thin, and its firm balance commends it to service with food.”

Wines from California’s most acclaimed winegrowing regions can be far more welcoming, and approachable than you may have thought. Instead of trying to epitomize prestigious regions at their most extreme, we strive to exemplify them at their most honest, expressive and approachable. Each wine exemplifies careful selection of small reserve lots of our best wine. The results offer an everyday treat for the discerning wine drinker.
Over centuries, vintners have carefully singled out the most admired vines, naming each vine with a unique number to identify its exceptional attributes. Here in California, we've planted a selection of these vines exactly where they will flourish best: in select locations on the red soils and cobblestones of our family-owned vineyard in Lodi and on the gentle slopes of our cool-climate estate in Monterey.

Olallieberrries, grape seeds, roasting herbs and hot gravel show on the nose of this appellation blend by Adam Lee, whose recently sold his brand to Jackson Family but remains deeply involved. A marjoram-laced cranberry-juice flavor consumes the palate, lifted further by hints of dried fennel.
94 Points! Only 500 Cases Produced!
On the spectrum of Pinot Noir, this bottling plays it down the middle: rich, but tart; fruity, yet elusive; dry, yet sweet in fruit. The raspberries and pomegranates have a touch of bitter cranberry, which certainly makes the mouth water. The oak is perfect, bringing sweet toast, vanilla and wood sap to the formula. And the finish is dry and long in fruity essence and cola spice.
All in all, a lovely Pinot Noir, delicate and feminine, super-drinkable now.
94 Points Pinot Report! Only 400 Cases Produced!

Rich, dark and intense fruit flavors take top billing in this 2016 Elouan Pinot Noir, a wine that beautifully reflects the warm and dry growing season. Dark ruby in color, the wine powers up with aromatics of plum pie, mixed-berry jam and smoky, game-bird characteristics that set the stage for flavors of cherry, blackberry, boysenberry and smoked bacon. The balance is excellent, with solid structure, superb depth and concentration, rich tannins, and a nice smoky, earthy finish.
Bright ruby in color, this wine has incredible aromatics layered with distinct Bien Nacido notes of truffle, sautéed mushrooms and dried spice. Fruit aromas of blood orange peel emerge as the wine opens in the glass.

For more than 30 years, La Crema has explored California’s coastal appellations, a voyage of varietals that started here at our estate in the foggy vineyards of the Russian River Valley. On our journey, we have found exciting cool-climate vineyards north in the rugged hills of Mendocino, and south along the wind-swept slopes of Los Carneros. Most recently, our exploration has taken us to the wind-swept hillside vineyards of Monterey. Centered always on the dual lens of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, we look for one unifying factor at these exceptional sites: coastal wind and fog that allow the grapes ripen slowly on the vine, developing intensely complex aromas and flavors while retaining firm acid structure. Naturally, our winemaking team seeks to express the essence of the terroir in our wines, capturing the unique personality and flavor profile of the vineyards. Elizabeth Grant-Douglas infuses our winemaking regime with a highly personal touch that combines the best of traditional Burgundian winemaking techniques with a contemporary California style.

Laguna Pinot Noir has always been about expressing the essence of the coast. There is a coolness to these wines—a sour red fruit, rhubarb, pomegranate, sweet tart thing that you get only from sites in ocean-impacted zones in Sonoma—Laguna shows this.
92 points Wine Enthusiast
This is a dense and heavy take on the grape, but done with style, showing vanilla cookie, clove and deep anise spice atop the black cherry core. Gingerbread, red cinnamon and Christmas spice liven up the baked red-plum fruit of the palate, laced with rich oak flavorings. It's not a dainty wine, but it's certainly delicious.
